    You went through all of that just to get indexed in 24 hours???

    Honestly, that's like wanting to turn on a HD television but instead of using the remote, the person goes through about a dozen steps, one of which is building a new remote from scratch.

    If a person wants to get a site indexed fast all they have to do is ping and bookmark it. Or, they could simply post a link of the homepage on a well spidered forum and be indexed almost immediately.

      Actually, come to think of it , I agree with Crew chief, not quite as straightforward, however I still like the amount of work and methodology, if you do all that to a new blog it should be off to a good start content and backlink wise.

        I think it's silly to do that much work.

        As for the blog being well off depends on the keywords/niche and more importantly whether this way a one time thing or a process you're going to repeat.

        Either way I'm with the poster who compared this to building your remote, it's both redundant and there are easier ways of doing this.

        PLUS, who actually gives a shi** if your blog is indexed within 24 hours? It's not like the faster you index the higher you rank, and with all the work you did to get indexed it was immense overkill so it's not like you did only one thing to get indexed, you did pretty much everything you could to get indexed.

        You should change the title "Here Is How I Get Indexed By Google In Less Than 24 hours By Doing Half A Days Worth Of Work".

        Cheers,

        -Konstantin.

    "WHOALA !!!" = voila...

    As in the old Napoleonic saying : "sauve qui peut , voila les Cosacks!"

    it's a Franco-Ukrainian thing...move along nothing to see ...

    As for your method , very straightforward, thanks for sharing

    OP, you just posted the most stressful way to get indexed.

    Why did you allow yourself to pass through such trouble.

    FYI, I had my site indexed in less than 24 hours only by submitting the url to digg.com.

        Okay guys. It's already been pointed out that you can get a site indexed with a bit less work than the OP described. But let's give him a break - he was only trying to be helpful. His post certainly doesn't warrant that kind of disdain.

          Travis, I can't speak for anyone else but here's the issue I have with the OP; his missive is awfully misleading to people who are new to IM and are not sure on exactly what to do to get their sites indexed.

          I used the illustration about building a remote, here's another illustration.

          It's like a someone who is not familiar with cars and they call AAA when their car won't start. The AAA rep arrives and after checking - informs them that they left the lights on overnight and the battery needs charging. So he proceeds to put the car on his flatbed and tows it to a auto repair shop.

          Why tow it?

          Why not just charge the battery and be done with it?

          Once the car arrives to the shop and is dropped off, the mechanic:

          - charges the battery;
          - replace the tires;
          - changes the oil;
          - performs maintenance on the transmission;
          - replaces the break pads;
          - flushes the radiator;
          - adds freon to the air conditioner;
          - vacuums the inside and then washes and waxes the car
          - That's it...

          Were those services needed? Yep, if not now, most likely eventually.

          But were they needed to get that car started! A thousand times NO!

          That was overkill, to the ninth degree.

          The OP posted a thread on how to get a site indexed in Google in 24 hours.

          Which incidentally, he left off the easiest ways to do so. Instead, he wrote a missive on posting articles, making and posting videos and twittering.

          Although those activities are good for traffic and backlinks, they are absolutely not needed to get a site indexed anymore than a car with a low battery needs new brake pads to get that battery recharged.

          Yeah it was some nice actions he took, just like it was some nice actions taken by the auto mechanic but just to be crystal clear; it was not needed nor required for the purposes of getting a site indexed.

          Let's never engage in misleading those who don't know and honestly and earnestly want to learn.

    I use Topix.com to get indexed in hours, but it won't work for everyone or every industry.

    It works great for local search based sites though - one of my secrets that I freely give away. Why do I give it away if it's such a great secret? Because it's local searching and I have my city taken care of, so the rest are up for grabs

      Either way the OP was just being helpful, this will get you're site indexed but also a nice bunch of backlinks. I don't think calling him stupid helps anyone. Besides to a newbie this is good information. You're not just learning how to index your site but how useful Youtube, bookmarking, twitter etc are.

      What use is it for a newbie saying "just go to xxx and your sites indexed" this must have been aimed at newbs because anyone who's making money online must know how to get there site indexed. Therefore a useful post.

    Aye, I agree with most here. The value of getting your site indexed when there are a TON of inroads to do so now, has gone down a bit. All it means to get your site indexed is to allow it to make a first pass inclusion into Google's cache index which then at some point allows it for main inclusion to the rt index (real time) of google.

    Eventually your page will be found, how much you supercharge your "googlebot beacon" is up to you.

    Wow - can't believe Yevgeniy got so flamed for sharing what worked for him.

    I'm sure with extra info he will have a faster method of indexing his site but with the methods he used he may actually get a higher placement than just pinging his site.

      While I have to agree you went through excessive work just to get indexed when you could have just notified pingler or ping goat, I do not condone anyone putting you down for it. I think your post was really informative and well-intentioned.

      P.S. why is everyone calling him "OP"? What does this lingo mean?

    I like this info! Good for those wanting to jump-start a site (beyond the indexing point). Recently I built a new blog and it was indexed within hours after I posted a video on youtube with a link to it. I was actually suprised to see this as I wasn't really trying to get it indexed.

    So, if your wanting to index your site quickly and don't know how start with a you tube video and put a link in the description to your blog.

    Here is the blog I used youtube to index - Mongoose Bicycles

    Its still a youngster as you can tell by the number of posts. (as a side note, I use ReviewAzon)
