My Social Bookmarking Isn't Getting Indexed...

Hi guys,

Whenever I write an article and post it on my blog, I always make sure I use SocialMarker.com to then build some backlinks to that article.

However, just the other day I noticed that NONE of them were getting indexed by Google and that a lot of them were being marked as "SPAM".

When I check my website on Market Samurai, it says I only have 5 backlinks to my main page and 17 backlinks to my primary domain. I also noticed on Market Samurai that 2 pages were de-indexed and 2 backlinks were taken away.

Weird... anyone know what this is about? Why does this happen and how can I avoid it?

    Wish I could help, but my advice is to just stop wasting your time. Bookmarking can be great for really quick indexing of a page or a domain or something, but just don't expect it to (1) show up as backlinks), or to (2) noticeably help your SERPs.

    Back in the day I used Bookmarking Demon quite a bit and I would guesstimate that maybe .001% of my bookmarks (over huge numbers of bookmarks as BMD is a beast) ever showed as backlinks, and I certainly never saw any SERP boost from them.

    Like Tom said they are good for indexing.

    The problem is that these SB sites are universally known and they are heavily loaded with new submission every second, so your "link" is not even noticed and indexed.
    In the end your effort is useless.

    Try to use less known bookmarking websites that are not over crowded and that are do follow, they will get indexed and you will maybe get few backlinks, so you can boost your current backlinks with them.
