Which is better Wp or site from scratch

O.k. I'm planning a new site with the main keyword being medium competition and roughly 100 other keywords having little competition. Which is better? 1. A Wordpress blog named with my main keyword and post made using the other keywords or 2. A site made. (using sitespinner) with the main keyword in the domain and a new page for the other keywords. I'm looking for help regarding which would be easier to rank. The current site in #1 for my main keyword is a W.P. blog with around 90 baclinks but the page ranking is a sub domain and a year old. Is Wordpress easier to rank then a new stand alone site? Thanks in advance for any help.

    Many contend that Google prefers Wordpress, but I don't think it makes a difference. If your page is optimized the right way and your offpage work is adequate, it should not make a difference. I have Yahoo sites that rank really well.

    Note: It is much harder to rank inner pages than your home page so if your going to try to assign a primary keyword to inner pages in order to get them to rank for that specific keyword phrase, they will take much longer than your home page will to get on page one. Same goes for individual posts. Hope that helps. Other may have a different perspective. Good luck.

      This maybe is the reason why most build multiple sites each with different keywords set than building one site with hundreds of secondary keywords.

    It is all about your site and what you do to rank it. WP in itself is not going to make any diff unless perhaps you use some plugin to really good effect.

    Yes ofcourse blogs are get fast ranking but this is not for long term.
    site get ranking little bit late but they will get this ranking for long term.
    so i suggest you site is better for long term ranking and for make good money.

      It would be easier if you have a domain for each keyword, as you can use the same backlinks for each of them. But you have to set the search amount in relation. If you expect only 1 visitor per day for a keywoard it´s not worth to make an own website for it. Plus the competition will be low enough to rank this keyword as an inner page without a lot of effort.
