Are people still interested in finding lists of dofollow blogs?

Not too long ago there were tons of people searching for dofollow blogs for the purpose of getting back links. Out of this came several very successful products i.e. Angela Edwards.

So are people still searching for these kind of blogs to get back links?

Please note that I'm not selling anything but rather I am just trying to do a research.

    Yes, people are still going after these types of links. Mainly because they have software to automate it the process. If nothing else, finding high quality blog posts and commenting on the post can still bring referral traffic for MONTHs if not YEARS to come.
