Youtube not indexing, but everything else is.

I'd love for some of you SEO guys to weigh in on this one:

I released a youtube video about a week ago or so. It's doing really well, with thousands of hits already and tons of comments. The video has been pinged daily, as well as backlinked, with both the video url and the backlinks being clipmarked/Amplify'd/pinged.

However, the video is still not indexed. All the other pages for the same keyword (on other social networks) that I have backlinked the same way are indexed, but I can't for the life of me seem to get the video itself indexed.

Would love some good advice here.

    You can't rank an individual youtube video with backlinks.
    It's not the same animal.

    You can build backlinks to your youtube channel.
    A youtube channel is a must.

    Be sure and use yahoo/facebook compatible elements.

    Your video is ranked on youtube by views and ratings.

    Youtube does index videos. You upload them and make them
    available to the public.

    The vast majority of searches for videos are done on youtube.

      Why not? I've read about many forum members that are targeting keywords with youtube videos. They say that other types of keywords work for videos than for a normal website, but it's still a similar process.

      At the original post:

      Try to comment on 2-3 high pr channels and your channel + videos get indexed within a day.
