Hey,

So I need some opinions - and I know you get these questions a lot, but I need you guys to help me with this one, because if I get the right answer for this one, then I can do the same with other keywords - so please answer as good as you can.

I found a keyword - obviously.

This is how it looks right now:

  • I search for the keyword without quotes and gets: 419.000 results
  • I search for the keyword with quotes and gets: 212.000 results
  • According to Google keyword tool the keyword/phrase gets 8100 EXACT match searches per month.
  • According to yahoo site-explorer the sites got 40 backlinks each (in average) - one site got 1400, but when I choose "except from this domain", then it's 25 backlinks.
  • The top 10 is IMO messed up, because the PR of the sites are 0-3.
  • Some of them is indexed in dmoz - which is an advantage.
  • 9 of the top 10 does NOT have the keyword/phrase in the domain at all! - There is one, but that's not even exact.
  • I can't get a 100% exact domain for this keyword - because they are all taken, but I will be able to get a domain which is almost as good.
As I told you.. 8100 searches per month - the cpc is nice to.

So.. How would you estimate this? I really needs help to make a conclusion on this one!

Thank you all

To me, it definitely sounds doable. You're obviously not competing with high PR sites that have thousands of awesome backlinks - which can be a little intimidating. If I were you, I would look and see exactly what links the top 3 results have.

Oh, and PR 0 sites can definitely rank #1... Remember, PR is just one of the many, many things that are used to calculate your ranking. However, seeing low PR sites in front of me makes me feel better about overtaking them
