Hey guys, I just looked up my webpage that I have been doing some pretty extensive backlinking lately, and am seeing something strange. I am hoping you guys can help enlighten me. When I look up the keywords I am trying to rank for I am at 80 for yahoo and bing for one and 240 for the other, however on google it is showing that I am indexed but not in the top 1000 (According to Market Samurai)

Does this sound right?

Any suggestions?

What you are experiencing sounds about right. All three search engines use different algorithms to rank websites so your backlinking efforts will produce different results for each.

I would mainly focus on getting ranked on Google. Yahoo and Bing unfortunately do not bring as much traffic as Google

Ditto on aaramire. Everything is totally upright. Each search engines use varying algorithms to ranks websites. It is best advisable to opt for Google ranking since 80% of site traffic came from Google.

Yes, All these search engines have different algorithms and they works on their own algo. You can not get same ranking in all these search engines for the same keywords. So, This is an obvious result. No Problem.. Keep Working,

yes it's a simple logic- they use different algorithms to rank websites. Having a number 1 rank on yahoo does not guarantee a number 1 rank on Google.

Thanks for the input guys. That makes sense, I just thought that it was weird that on yahoo and bing the serps were fairly good, and just terrible on google.

Can I ask you experts to look at my keywords? I have done my own research and figured that atleast one wouldnt be too hard to get on the first page.
