How much it takes to index backlinks?

Okay, so I've built about ~120 backlinks in last two days. All of them got pinged, I've even got the vast majority of them spread through ping.fm (I've sent ping.fm status in about each 10 minutes). Day have passed, yet they didn't get indexed. How much I'll have to wait? They are min. of 4 PR and most of them are profiles. When I'll see decent results? (remember - I've been building backlinks to my backlinks)

You can't look at link building on a daily basis or you will drive yourself mad checking. As for getting indexed there is no magic wand. Backlinking your backlinks is common but it all depends on what you are backlinking them with. More no PR or even indexed pages? Not going to do much for you and certainly not beyond indexing.

Honestly the best way to determine a potential quality profile backlink that will get indexed and sticks takes a few seconds but a lot of people don't want to even look at the site they are placing a link on (not saying you).

Look at the navigation of the site. Is there a members list anywhere? Does the home page have links to user posts/articles? the crawler crawls through links.

I do pinging to to speed up the process but i try to find links that can be found normally by the crawler because if it can't the links will start to fall off later anyway.

Well, but if google couldn't find the page, and link is getting pinged, will google crawl through it despite that no one shows the page inside the domain?

If no, doesn't my ping.fm status updates or rss submission of my links I've done help google to crawl?

If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.

Yes pinging can help but I am talking about down the road. After a while if google doesn't find the link again it will eventually drop that link data in their database. People rarely talk about that . But don't worry about that . You want to get your site ranked and noticed and then get better links that will be crawled.. I think you will begin to see some of those links soon. keep going it can take a little time. Some may already be in the database because the tools don't show all links.
