Blog post commenting for backlinks - How best?

I am just about to hire someone to make post comments on other blog articles as a part of my backlinking strategy. I need some sound advice about pay and number of comments per day. I think it best to pay per number of comments. And I do NOT want Google to get nervous so I wonder what a safe number per day is. I have several affiliate sites under pen names. I thought to have about 50 comments over time, from each pen name, representing that affiliate site, commenting on other related blogs. Is that too many? Not enough? And would 7 comments per day be too many, or too fast for safety with Google? I am new at this and I have not been able to find any guidelines.
Thanks

Download Tweetdeck, and start off small yourself. Relevant comments, good content for their blog.

Per day 20-30 comments are fine. But only blog commenting is not enough, you must go for other off page SEO activities as well.

If you are doing honest commenting you probably will not be able to go more than 20-25 comments... if you are just putting generic spam comments using some tool then sky is the limit... Google anyway will not index all links in a day so the number does not matter much.

You have the beginnings of a good strategy; your numbers seem good.

If you are going to outsource the work, be careful not to get caught by the spammers who use automated bots to send generic comments.

A good comment should have at least three sentences, with good spelling and grammar and, of course, be relevant to the discussion.

Generally, the higher the PR of the site, the more strict will be the moderation.

You want quality comments that positively contribute to the discussion. I do not believe bots can give you that.

    Cheers,

Hmm...Blog commenting? Just make sure you are giving valuable comments and you will be fine. Don't spam the blogs. Don't copy and paste one sentence in almost all the comments. Avoid some words like 'Thanks for the info'.
