Do blog sites like Blogger provide backlinks?

Hi all,

I was trying a few backlink experiments lately by performing things such as blog commenting and writing articles.

I also tried writing other blogs on places like blogger.com and wordpress.com. I posted a couple of things back on October 10th, but so far Yahoo Site Explorer does not show my posts made on those sites within my backlinks. Do they normally provide a backlink, or are they more effective in a link wheel setup where they are pointed towards another site.

    The comment links are going to be nofollow links. If you were to publish a post though, the links in the body would not be tagged with rel="nofollow".

      So does that mean I won't receive a backlink? Also, is this new? I could have sworn i've read this technique performed by other warriors.

    I had similar issue,those blogger backlinks showed on google webmaster but never shower in yahoo site explorer.So since it shows in Google,that isn't a problem for me.Maybe yahoo have issues with them.

      Hmmm maybe so. I've seen other people's site show these as backlinks which is why i'm a bit confused. Oh well, will keep trying.

        None of the links in my posts on blogspot are nofollow.
        I don't know why anyone would make them such.

        I don't allow html in comments, I don't care about comments.

        Of course they're all interlinked. I'd be a fool not to.

        They are also highly ranked and kick butt.

        I love blogger. But then, I follow all rules.
