Hi All. Lets all share what you spend monthly in adwords. I think it would be a good way for newbies to see the ranges.

I voted, but my budget is likely to drop to zero pretty soon due to lower sales volume and reduction in ROI + google squeezing higher CPC yet delivering lower quality traffic from countries and sites that I am not targeting (and for sites that have already been added to my filter due to them having 100% CTR or sending a high volume of non-converting traffic etc).

Just a little over a year ago I was paying 3000-3500 a month on adwords. I hooked up with some warriors and started article marketing and building links.
Now I get double the traffic, more targeted traffic and more than double in sales.
I spent about 2,500 for the year , buying link submissions and articles. In the past few months I started writing my own articles and I'm doing even better.

I am gradually working up my spend for my various sites. In total I am spending around $2000 a month on Adwords. So long as the profits continue to increase then I will continue to expand my budget.

Adwords can deliver extremely targeted traffic if you're bidding on terms that are far into the "sales cycle" if you're bidding on broad keywords, yes, you wont see the high conversions.

I spent $100 on my first adwords campaign, didn`t get a single sale, thought "F**k this, I want free traffic" and started focusing on low competition keyword phrases. I haven`t spent a dime since then.

Though I intend to use Adwords again when I`m in a better position to do so.

There has got to be a reason why you spent $100, got clicks, and not converted. It could have been a landing page issue, keyword relevance, ad relevance...PPC is a very strategic marketing tactic and has to be done right in order to be successful.
