Redirecting a couple specific error 404 pages question

I am a complete newb to this kind of thing. I bought a website that has some solid backlinks pointing to a couple pages that I have no content on my site.

The two pages return an error 404 if you follow the backlinks. How do I properly redirect to the homepage in an SEO friendly way and pass the link juice?

I just need to do it for these two pages.

I am using Wordpress.

    Just add the following redirect code in your .htaccess file.

    redirect 301 /old/old.htm http://www.you.com/
