I guess he did it like that.
Yep, that's what he did. Pretty slick way to do that actually.
I would have never thought of that method in a million years.

Why don't you go a head an give us the link so we can at least post something that may answer your question?

    Have a Great Day!

Michael raises some valid points , without any info to go on then I'd assume its; its domain age that is providing the pr or its got a 301 redirect powering it, give a link and get a firm answer.

I think the same idea two with redirecting. But I have some confusion on that technique. If I remove the redirection, Do PR will back down to zero?

What did you use to check the backlinks? If you are using any tools by Google , it's not accurate because Google doesn't show all the backlinks to a site for certain reasons.

    Hi electronik69,

I see no no mystery here.

I did a quick check and discovered that page has a backlink from a PR 4 page. PageRank is passed from that PR 4 page to his page.

    Code:
    http://www.5d.com.au/
    Mystery solved?

There could be a reason that his content of the website might be relevant and good.

      Hi rahulbatra,

What are you trying to say? That PR is a measure of relevance and goodness? According to Google it is based on the relative number of backlinks to your page weighted by the PR of the linking pages.

Agreed with you. I think misunderstanding is the main reason why that statement was posted and what he's trying to say is all about the content.

A site of mine started with a PR of 2. It had a ton of content and lots of internal linking. No external linking was done once that PR was awarded. You can get PR with goood content and internal linking alone.
