Developing a Blog/Content Network for Linkbuilding: Advice sought

I am in the early stages of creating a network of Wordpress blogs all on stand alone domains for the purpose of content submission and generating backlinks. I know this is not a revolutionary idea - I don't want to discuss the merits or the value of low PR links. The purpose of this thread is to discuss ideas as to how to a) monetize this; and b) acquire enough content to make it effective.

I know of other services like SEOLinkVine that offer these types of blogs to post spun articles on. They allow 2 or 3 links in the article. I want to execute something similar to that. Every article will create a new page. I also want to sell/give away links in the sidebar and footer, as they appear on every page and can account for multiple inbound links from a single link placement. My ultimate goal is to have 200 blogs with 200 pages on each site - therefore a single sitewide link could potentially generate 200 inbound links for the site it links into and the entire network could be worth as many as 40,000 links, not including links in the content of the posts.

What I'd like you to comment on is this: If I offered you the opportunity to post your spun articles on my blogs for free, would you take it? Expanding on that, how much would you be willing to pay for the privilege or posting articles on up to 200 unique blogs across a network? How much would you pay for sitewide links on each site? Packages would be in monthly installments and links would be gradually added.

Any other thoughts or comments would be greatly appreciated.

Has anyone ever set anything like this up before? Or is it simply more cost effective and not worth the hassle to just outsource this or subscribe to an existing service?

How are you planning on getting the 200 blogs actually indexed in the search engines, let alone have enough 'link juice' to pass on?

I had never anticipated that this would be an issue. I've never had a blog with content NOT get indexed. I plan to string them amongst multiple hosting accounts, design them all with different themes, etc. for diversity's sake.

Why wouldn't they get indexed? Is there something I am missing?

You are going to have to build backlinks to them if you want them to be any use. They will be pretty useless if they have no 'link juice' themselves.

The main purpose of the network is to build links out on my own projects. Anyone who buys the privilege to post articles and such should know that this isn't the only linkbuilding measure they should be engaging in. These are mostly going to be low pagerank sites - quantity not quality.

Thats my point. They won't be low page rank sites, they will be zero page rank (let alone indexed) sites unless you build links to them.

Others that build these sorts of networks do so by buying domains that have existing backlinks and PR
