Why Does This Happen When Blog Commenting?

When dropping comments on do-follow blogs, I often find that once I submit the comment I get taken to a blank page with no confirmation message or anything.

the url of the page is often in the form of hxxp://www.problogdesign.com/wp-comments-post.php

Is this some type of error or is my comment dropped into the que and awaiting moderation?

I've tried using different browsers when submitting the comment but get the same results regardless. Maybe it's common?

    I've been doing this blog commenting and what I've observed is your comment is waiting for moderation this also happens to me but from that no one was not posted, I would suggest that find do follow blogs there are few i think but of course its your task to search for it. hope this helps.

    Search for WSOD or the white screen of death. It's not reserved for wordpress, but for lots of operating systems and software. Hell, wikipedia has an article about it: White screen of death - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    Plenty of people run into this problem. I'm pretty sure it's a glitch. Don't worry it happens to me too and usually the comment doesn't go through.

    I used to think it was because I had been flagged as a spammer by akismet, but I've since changed IP's and I still get it from time to time.

    Were you trying to add in your name as a keyword? It does happen with certain keywords that have been repeatedly flagged as spam on many blogs. The keyword becomes blacklisted and gets sent straight to the spam bin inside the blog.

    I've had this before, but you can try changing your keyword or just using your name (no keyword)...that will likely go through to the moderation queue (no guarantees it will be approved by the blog owner though).

    On auto approve blogs, changing the name field to something else will get it to appear.

    Many time is comment is on hold for moderation other times the blogs only accept certain type of linking methods .

      The same thing happened to me also. I suggest you to find out good blogs where people make comments on regular basis. While posting use your name instead of using any keywords that can be considered as spam.
