Selling other people's physical products-help!

I'm research super niches to sell some physical products. I've done my keyword research (not too much/too little competition) and I've got some domains for my niche. I've done affiliate program research within my niche. I'm vaguely familiar with ad networks - all the legal language in the affiliate agreements causes my eyes to cross. I feel like I'm signing my life away...
I've had some experience creating Adwords campaigns for my own stuff and my own sites.
I've never tried to sell other people's physical products. (I figure there is reams of info on this forum, but I don't know what to search for.)
If I'm selling widgets:
1. Do I set up my own buywidgets.com site and sell ONE affiliate product? Multiple affiliate products? Have keywords that are links to other sites where I am an affiliate?
2. Do I have a blog about widgets and feature other people's product(s)
3. I've seen widget sites with a bunch of 'sponsored ads' listed - is that an Adsense site?
If you have some basic guidelines or can recommend a good 'how to' resource I would be most grateful.
