I've been doin some research lately, since i wasn't satisfied with how my article marketing was going in regards to view count.

Then i noticed 1 guy on ezinearticles, mainly in then make money online & a few others...and he seems to be getting 1000s of views in just under 4 weeks , and thats for terms like "make money online". He doesn't appear to be ranking on google, there is nothing really special about the article as far as i can see...

That being said, what am i NOT doing, that i could do get a huge boost? I know being in the Top 10 most viewed part plays a part, but what about before?
I've done some bookmarking, but mostly on the 10 or so major sites.

Anyone got any strategies they use to build links to their articles or get tons of views for them?

Cheers.

People inflate their article views with fake hits or worthless (in terms of conversion) paid bulk traffic.

This 1 person in particular has been a fair bit of time on ezinearticles, and i know paying for traffic to articles is against their TOS..so surely he'd have been banned by now..if that was the case....I would think they;'d look into articles getting that many views in a short period of time..to see if it was legit.

I think you are giving Ezine way too much credit for "observation." For example, someone copied my articles and posted them on Ezine as their own (they only changed the title slightly). I contacted Ezine and reported him, so he spun the article.... poorly. So I contacted Ezine again because supposedly "spun" articles are also against their TOS. Then they wouldn't even read the articles themselves with the links provided which would have sufficed since it was so obvious at the spin attempt. I had to copy & paste the article paragraph by paragraph to prove this guy used my article and finally they removed it.

This violation of TOS was put right in their face and it was still a fight to get them to comply with their own TOS. So, I hardly think out of millions of articles they are going to check the traffic on each.

Try taking the articles (or other articles with similar topic) and post to other top article directories like Buzzle, Searchwarp, etc. and have one link point to your Ezine article and another link point to your site. Also try RSS and bookmarking your Ezine article.

        Good luck,

People will sometimes create meta redirects to there articles and buy cheap traffic just to get there articles on the most viewed list, which can create real traffic toward the articles.

Jason and Sydney are both right. People can manipulate the traffic to their EZA articles, and EZA seems to be a bit lacking in the common sense department at times. They are certainly not the end-all-be-all that many people think. In fact, there are plenty of other great article directories out there, so you don't have to put all of your eggs in EZA's basket.

That being said, what can you do to get more views? Work on publishing only the best, most compelling content. Start with an attention-grabbing title, and go from there.

When you're done writing, take a close look at your work, and be honest with yourself... Would you pick your article out of a list? Would you read it the entire way through? Does it make you want to click on the link in the resource box? Does it make you look like an expert? Being able to say "yes" to those 4 questions can go a long way towards getting more article views and more traffic to your site.
