Get the IM Advantage subscription by Tim Godfrey and Steven Clayton. It includes the Keyword Blueprint tool. It's worth it, as there is loads of other stuff in there too

whoa, micro niche finder and IM advantage want 97 dollars! That seems a little excessive for software, is it really worth what they claim it is on their sites? Im going to check out that free trial of market samurai though.

I have been using Market Samurai. It is most close to accurate for me. I am currently trying Keyword Research. You can also use Google's Keyword tool. Hope this helped you!

I woudl receommend to save your money and understand the Google Keyword Tool (comes with or without adwords). Use it so much that you know everything about it A lot can already be done with this tool.
Now once you're adept with this free tool you should begin to understand what you are looking for. WHat you would like to automate or need more detailed information on.
Then I believe you will stand a better chance at selecting other 3rd party keyword services and judging the value in it. Not to mention you will be able to use it to full capacity of the features instead of just using what you already get free.

All mentionned previously by others are good tools but if you need a big list of keywords with low competition I use Nichehorde from Jonathan Leger. It is a yearly recurring product but I really find it useful to find in a few clicks hundred of untapped keywords to create autoblogs etc...

Why don't you just use Adwords Keywords Tool?
I don't understand why people trust other keywords tools better than Google's own!
I know Google search engine is not the only game in town, but it certainly is the biggest. So, I'd rather take their word fro it(at least when it comes to numbers from their own search engines) than other people's.

I'm just starting out, but have found that the free Google Keyword Tool is really great.
I don't know a thing about the paid ones, but if money is tight, I think this is a good one to begin with.

Really depends what you want to do with it, do you want to know the competition, are you providing a service? Will you be doing deep analysis?

You can't beat free from Google and then using Excel to build your own metrics.

I personally use Market Samurai and it is really good! It can save you a lot of time doing keyword research. If you don't intend to invest at this point of time, go with Google Keyword External Tool and I believe it's best to begin with, it may take a little bit longer to perform keyword research but at least you can understand the mechanics of the tool.

Just for your information, Market Samurai obtained the data from Google but the software itself will help you to cut the hassle of doing research, analyzing competition and more importantly - save your time!

Yeah, the top internet marketers all recommend making use of as much free stuff as possible and the one they just about all recommend being adequate for the average marketer like us here on the WF is Google. I have also seen a lot of reference to Market Samurai of late - so I'll be checking it out for sure.

  I have to agree with the general consensus of this thread. Market Samurai is excellent, and you can invest in it later when you're making some money. Until then, Google Adwords Tool and Wordtracker are perfectly fine to use when just starting out, and they're free.

I used to use Google Keyword Tool but nowadays i often use SEMrush and Compete. Semrush generated most of its values based on Google Keyword Tool and also it has many other features. I prefer SEMrush

Google's Adwords Keyword tool is very powerful and gives you great results and information.

A good follow up on your findings from Google Adwords is Google Insights. This will show you when people are searching, and also offers other highly searched keywords related to your niche, which is very useful.

These are free tools.

Better to earn with free tools, and then invest once you've made it work--unless you have money to burn?
