Are .tk names SEO friendly?

So, topic pretty much summarizes it, but I want to tell you few things.

I've built a sniper site on a .tk domain, I've used to do so on free co.cc domains, and I couldn't complain about them, they rocked, but I've already registered two of them, and one is registered via proxy, and I don't really want to risk of registering the third one because all of them can be taken down (proxy didn't work for me anymore on co.cc to create third domain), so I needed another alternative.

I've ran across .tk domains, I've found some really old threads that this is BS domain name, it has ads, no nameservers, but when I've registered I've seen completely opposite, to my surprise (I guess it was outdated info).

So, now I want to ask, if .tk domain has nameservers and no ads, is it just as good/better than co.cc? I know it will never be as good as .com or .net or .org but I don't really need that either. So, is it good, bad, useless? Any experience with it?

Generic top level domains (com, net, org) do help, but that isn't to say getting a good ranking is hard with a countryTLD (tk and cc are both examples). Some cTLD's do rank better than others.

Reserved TLD's tend to be the best (edu, gov, int, arpa).

I think it more depends on SEO works you are going to do for this domain. I have seen many websites with any extension which are ranking high for the keywords they are working on them. But if you want to work global its better that you register a global domain as .com , .org or ..
