Setting up funnel page for SEO

Hi, I'm setting up my website with a main product page with navigation, and a second product page without navigation that will be used as a funnel for affiliate traffic.

The main page with navigation will be something like
/myproduct.aspx
The funnel page without navigation will be something like
/affiliates/myproduct.aspx

Then I'll have a different domain set to Forward and Mask to that funnel page.
"myproduct .com" points to /affiliates/myproduct.aspx

The only problem is that the product page content is duplicated. What's the best solution, should I

1. Change the text so both pages have different content?
or
2. Tell Google to not index the funnel page?

It would be good if I could benefit from the domain name for SEO.

I don't know how you'd do it in ASP.NET, but in PHP I'd just pass a variable through the URL.

    myproduct.com for regular users.
    myproduct.com?affiliate=2638 for affiliates.

    Advantages:
    - You get credit for all the traffic coming to the page, in terms of SEO.
    - No rewriting content
    - No canonilization, redirection or cloaking
    - You can keep accurate and comprehensive statistics on your affiliates.

I don't know if this is viable for you because I'm not sure what you mean by "a funnel page without navigation", but it's definitely what I'd recommend.

    I see what you mean.

Have you considered the canonical attribute?
