Sooo. What is your Backlinking Strategy???

Hope I'm not stepping on anybodies toes here... but what backlinking methods do you use to make up your overall backlinking strategy.

I'm very new to off-page SEO, so I'm looking for ideas to create a systematic strategy for over 300 sites.

    Hi Derh.
    I have been doing this for 4 months and really only got more of a grasp re backlinking in the last 2 months.
    For me I try to comment in forums, and blogs that have really good info. I concentrate on IM blogs because I can't find many really in my niche.
    Write some articles. I try to write an article every week and submit to over 50 article directories.
    Maybe also try social bookmarking. I have been using SocialAdr for 3 weeks and it seems to be ok. Also use Digg.

    Ensure that the landing page your backlinks link to are optimized for the keyword you wish your site to rank for. If the main page of your website can't be optimized for that keyword, then create a separate webpage within your website and load it with content that is optimized for that keyword.

    I think most users are using most known ways for making backlinks, like blog commenting,article submission,social bookmarking and some others make link wheels. I think these are the most common ways for building backlinks and promoting websites.
