Yes they are and they are. It is even worse when you have to get links on a niche that don't have that many good places to get links.

Lol yeah, I know how that feels. A lot of the niches I target are difficult to hit with interesting content.

I use Article Marketing Robot all the time. It is a once only payment and allows you to spin and submit scheduled articles to up to 1800 directories (including Ezine, Articles Base, iSnare and all the big ones).

I try to diversify my backlinking efforts as much as possible to shake things up and not loose steam too.

Well, thus far, I haven't investigated the advantages of automation too much. I'm pretty creative, so link-baiting has gotten me by, but I'd really like to get some non-spammy automation going.

I might end up going with outsourcing, because software like SENuke is way too counter-contributive. I'll look into article marketing robot.

Any other recommendations? (I got Scrapebox recently, but don't use it too often yet)

It is a boring, boring job! I have just started a new website that I am enjoying working on, but it isn't the easiest niche for backlinking. I usually do article marketing, and I will with this niche, but I don't think it will be the easiest niche to write articles on.

Thankfully the competition is fairly low so I'm hoping I wont need too much backlinking.

I'm a linkbait pro. That's what's been getting me by thus far.
