Problems in Optimizing Blogger Blogs - Need Help

Hi guys. I've been so busy lately optimizing 7 blogs all at one time. These blogs are hosted for free in blogger.com. For the record, I'm not the one who set up these blogs. A former senior SEO resigned and my company decided that I will do the tasks he's been doing. (Note: I'm still new in Search Engine Optimization)

Here are my main problems while optimizing them:

1. subdomain names not related to targeted keywords
i.e. toughbiz.blogspot.com - toughbiz is far, far beyond the targeted keywords "business development" and "business tips"

- i didn't attempt to change the blogs' subdomains because i'm afraid to start back to zero backlinks.

2. all blogs are hosted in blogger.com - i really have difficulty tinkering blogger.com's template. no proper heading tags structure and all. can't install SEO plugins and the like. ):

3. all old posts are not optimized - though all the blogs were up since March of this year, when i checked the GA stats, there's really zero traffic from SEs. ):

4. i dug for new keywords but just found out lately that Adwords keyword tool isn't that accurate
- i used these keywords for the example blog (toughbiz.blogspot.com) above: business development, business tips. unfortunately, i just found out that those keywords got a lot of competitors. so i think i need to be more specific with the keywords that i need to target?

I officially started optimizing all 7 blogs last 30th of October. Btw, below is the list of blogs:

Travel Blog
Real Estate Blog
Business Blog
Hotel Blog
Freelance Blog
Motoring Blog
Jobs Blog

Since the day that I started optimizing, I have seen a bit of traffic from SEs on a few blogs (business, motoring, travel) but there's very minimal SE traffic on the rest.

If you have any suggestions or ideas, I would really, really love to hear them. Thank you sooo much. (:

yeah. blogger is more hard to optimize in SEO. But you can use customize H tag and use simple and clean template.

But if you seriously in blogging. try to move your blog into wordpress.

you can do the SEO by change your posting method.
usually, your posting will be named automatically by blogger.
if you want to make a relevant link to your keyword, then you can do 2 easy steps applied on blogspot:
    1. make a blank post in blogger, then you can change the title to relevant with your targetted keyword.
    2. start to posting..

this method only the reverse from ordinary posting method, to get relevant link to your targeted keyword...

SEO is definitely possible with blogger blogs. It might just take more tinkering.

I don't know what you people are talking about.

Blogspot comes SEO'd right out of the box.
      Plus the power of google.
You actually have very little to do.
      Except promotion.

How often do you see a blogger blog rank in the Search Results? NEVER!

Move your blogger blogs onto their own domains powered by wordpress.

There are tools that let you export the blogger blog and then convert it to wordpress....then you can just upload the file and wolla!

Wordpress is the best always, lot of plugins to optimize and everything will be under our control, from placing nofollow links to adding ads in different places.
Blogspot is for beginners with out investment, needs some dedicated work to make the blogger blog show up in search results.

    Have a nice day
