Adsense for Domains??

I have a question about adsense for domains and I can't find the answer I'm looking for. Ok, I was checking into adsense for domains and I thought it would be something new to try. My question is though, can you take a site that is not in use but getting decent traffic and use adsense for domains? Would that be against their terms? I think I read somewhere that if you use adsense for domains, you can't link to the domain. The existing domain would already have backlinks pointing to it so I'm confused.

Yes. You can use Adsense for parked domains without any problem. Its available on Google Adsense. Go to your account and you can easily setup it by perfect guides provided by Google adsense. Its legal and you can use it.

I know that much but can you use it with a domain that gets organic traffic and has backlinks pointing to it already?

Isn't that the same thing as using AdSense for a parked domain? Or are you talking about taking a site that already gets lots of traffic and monetizing it with AdSense?!?

        The Answers are Yes!

I'm talking about the parked domain. Here's a better explanation of what I'm talking about.

Site isn't being worked on so the domain gets parked, however it gets organic traffic and has backlinks pointing to it from when it was a site.

Would it be ok to do the adsense for the parked domain even though it gets traffic and has backlinks already.

Adsense for domains is not "easy" to set up as someone erroneously said
            above.

You must have a parked domain, and submit it. Then, it has to be approved
by google. Then you need to change the DNS settings, I believe, and turn
the whole thing over to google.

You can't put adsense on a parked domain that has not been approved
and taken over by google. Adsense for domains comes with its own
TOS, different than adsense for content. The rules change for traffic.

I have never been a fan of adsense for domains. Better to put some
content on it, and try and monetize it.

Whenever I go to a parked domain with ads, I just surf away.
            Quite irritating, actually.

Actually it is easy. I just checked for myself to see how easy it was. I went to my AdSense account ---> My Ads ---> Domains ----> Agree to TOS --->

"To create new ads to display on your site, feed, or other content, first you'll need to generate your ad code.Click New ad unit to get started
You can also import your older AdSense for Content ad units by clicking the Import button."

Ok with a bit more research, I found the answer to my question. You cant do what I was referring to. It has to be a parked domain with no backlinks to it and the only traffic it supposed to get is from people typing in the domain.

I believe that if it was like I was referring to, a lot of people would be banking off Adsense for domains. Well anyway, thanks for leading me to my answer everyone.

If you don't want to park your domain with Google but you still want to use adsense on it you can park it with WhyPark as they allow you to use third party ads, affiliate links and adsense as well. They also put some content up on your domain that is relevant to your keywords and you can post your own content as well. I had few domains parked with them and the results where quite good.
