Keyword SERP Tracking Software - WebPosition vs RankTracker

Hi all how are you this fine Monday?

Quick Question: What software do you all use to monitor your SERPs??

I used WebPosition at my old company for a year or so a while back and it was cool... but i don't want to mess with the recurring payments if possible.

Right now I am looking at rank tracker. I believe you have to pay for updates as well but its not monthly..

All I need to do is monitor a couple hundred keywords over 4 domains.

My question is, what programs do you guys use/suggest? Is there any thing new that I should be checking out? do you have a preference of one of these over the other??

I have market samurai and also monitor my main keywords manually with a couple other tools but i would love to have something that works easily with multiple domains, hundreds of keywords, shows improvements/drops over time, and can spit out reports.

Thanks in advance. Once again im failry familiar was just wondering if you guys know something i dont or have a preference...

-Mark

Nice forum, linked directly to the WSO so I figured it they could decide for themselves. If I didn't honestly believe it added value of sorts to the thread I wouldn't have shared it ;]

            Edit*

I'm not Dresden if that's what you were hinting at.

Thanks. Pricing tiers are still a W.I.P. Expect some kind of change in the near future.

I have used 'Website Popularity' and it works fine. It shows many statistics for domains. Test the trial version.

I have been looking for a web service with unlimited domains or near it. None of the downloadable software works, unless you want to load 300 domains up one at a time. And then you can't view 300 profiles side by side. And almost all of them don't even have import. So if you have over 30 domains/keyword combinations, forget downloadable stuff I would say to date.

My.Webposition (not Gold) came out, is pretty good, but not good for a affiliate marketer who has lots of domains, and needs to see a report more then once a month. e the big ones I just ran into.

Google actually mentions it by name on their Website:

Automated queries - Webmaster Tools Help

Google's Terms of Service do not allow the sending of automated queries of any sort to our system without express permission in advance from Google. Sending automated queries absorbs resources and includes using any software (such as WebPosition Goldâ„¢) to send automated queries to Google to determine how a website or webpage ranks in Google search results for various queries.

        Hi.

Have you considered Rank Checker from SEOBook.com?

Pretty no-frills although I think it might do what you want which is basic position tracking. It doesn't have reporting features although you can export the ranking history as a CSV file and maybe spruce it up to make a report.

        Plus, the price is right.

Im looking for a standalone software for this as well. Had been using IBP but its been acting really weird the last 3 months. Much better to buy a standalone than have to shell out cash each month.

I am using several tools to check my rankings. Sometimes I use IBP & sometimes it's Rank Tracker in Market Samurai.

I use Rank Tracker and it does everything mentioned here - tracks rankings for multiple domains, compares them side by side, creates reports, all that stuff.

It may sound a bit strange but you can use for this seoquake density tool, it will show keywords and serps for it, and of course density itself.

Can always use a wordpress plugin to track all your sites, and all of your keywords. Lightweight AND you don't need your desktop application running all the time to do checks, lookups and email notifications

Try the new site I am working on. You can add your domain, 3 competitor domains and 20 keywords and come back everyday and click update all to get your SERP positions. We show best, previous, and current and top 10 SERP results for each of your keywords. Its also easy to switch back and forth between keywords with using your up/down arrow keys, so you can review the top results in each keyword again and again easily.

I am working on the registered user features which will allow multiple domains, more keywords, and 30 day graphing of SERP results.

Link is in my signature below...
