Hi guys,

I have this website 7 months old, 160 links recognized by Yahoo...I was thinking of:

1- blast it it 2000-5000 thousand links
2- build links slowly and increase each month ( 100 first week, 200 next week and so on for about two months)

Which option would you recommend ? Is it a good idea to have my links cashed asap , or wait for Google to find them eventually.

Big thanks
Crowly

option 1, blast... what tools you are going to use to gather 2000 backlinks in a short span of time...

I guess it depends on what software you are going to use to make 2k-5k backlinks show up in a tool like YSE. If you do this overnight there is a good chance you might sandbox your website.

I think option 2 is better and safer. However your domain is 7 months old, but i think its still better that you choose option 2. But you can do option 2 with more speed but don't make 1,000 backlinks in one day. Its my suggestion.

thanks social, would you recommend caching the links for option 2 as soon as I make them?

@ru83n I will be using scrapebox and other services

If you follow Option #1, I believe that your site will be ignored or sandboxed very soon..Google will evaluate your site when you have a huge number of backlinks added to your site in short period..

It's better to build backlinks naturally..says 5 backlinks a day...make it reasonable and realistic...

Blast the thousands of links in a week or build a couple 100 every week. Which ever you feel more comfortable doing. What seems more natural to you?! It takes time to rank for competitive keywords even if you have 10k backlinks. So either way you'll be waiting.

You won't get sandboxed. Plus, it will take the Search Engines some time to find all these backlinks. Plus Plus, you'll probably only get credit for like 25% of them!!

      CHEERS!

P.S. One of my sites had 1k backlinks showing up in Y! Site Explorer the first week I purchased the domain and uploaded the content! And everything was OK.

Ok , I see my site is too young for option 1 . I will be going for Option 2 and will try to increase links as weeks go.

Still wondering if caching them asap is a good idea.

Every time I read discussions about how to get massive backlinks I'm reminded about my first efforts - which ended up putting me in the sandbox to play.. Good advice all! There are shortcuts and they are a risk - best to do naturally.

Whatever you do... maintain the consistency. If you're going to blast 2000 links in a month, then blast 2000 links every month. It'll look unnatural if you blast 2k links one month, then have 15 links trailing in the next.

    BLASTING LINKS = Google SLAP

trust me....if start a linking campaign that looks fishy...Google will notice for SURE!

I had a car dealer as a client....they had 30 backlinks....we built them 300 in the first month.

Well this looked fishy to Google and the site dropped out of the SERPs for 3 months.

      Hi crowly,

It sounds like you're asking if you should spam slowly or just blast massive amounts of spam very quickly.

If that is what you're asking then I recommend neither one.

Instead consider creating massive amounts of useful content and publish that content with attribution credits in place. This will generate massive amounts of meritorious backlinks, the kind that search engines like.

Hi there, so you suggest using UAW or just manually submit my articles to the Top 20 article directories..

Those are two possible choices, you might also consider networking with other bloggers in you niche as a guest author (guest blogging), creating your own series of blogs, publishing press releases and contributing useful content to blog comment sections, forums and Web 2.0 communities.

Look, option one is by far the best but getting good quality links is the problem, you need the following for a good campaign.
    1. Link Variation so your links look more natural
    2. Anchor Text in your links with your keywords
    3. Proper keyword selection with lots of research
    4. Manual Links work the best
    5. High PR Sites to link on
    6. Keyword variation
    7. A large team of quality backlinkers from ODesk or Backlinkteam, doing it yourself will take way too long and these are the by far the best sites to get awesome manual backlinks that will work. I have used both over and over again with awesome results.
    Hope that helps

No question option 2. Your site is a little older so you can take on links more quickly but anything that looks weird to google could run you into trouble.

Just take it slowly Man,build links slowly and steadily, preserve the remaining to use when you might run out of options(joke?).Google won't even see them once,so why not feed the big G slowly and steadliy instead of feeding it once and starve it for long.

I think even this option is a bit exaggerated (at least your niche is too competitive, for example if you are trying to position keyword "technology" -which I wouldn't recommend-). I think with 250 - 300 backlinks per MONTH is enought to be in the first page of Google in like 2, 3 or maybe 4 months (always depends of your competition).

Build as many backlinks as quickly as you can. The search engines will find them slowly and eventually pass on the benefits. If you build links slowly you are only working against yourself.
