Do you have to point backlinks to all pages of your website?

I have a website with 30 pages but really only want to rank for 3 of the pages/keywords so I have been focusing my backlinks to those pages. Can I just keep doing that or should I point some backlinks to the others as well so it looks more natural. I really don't want to because it takes alot of time but I am already ranked good and don't want to end up in the sandbox! Also I have been looking at getting backlink services that only allow 3keywords/3url for what I want to pay!

You certainly won't get sandbox for only backlinking to a few of your pages. You can even tell Google which pages are your important pages by using a XML sitemap if you like.

In a perfect world, backlinks should occur naturally from people sharing and talking about interesting pages on your website. Naturally, all pages won't be getting linked to, only those that are interesting and worth sharing.

You do not need to build backlinks for all pages, focus on the target ones and use the rest of your pages to support (internal linking with proper anchortexts) the targeted keywords.

More axillary pages - more possibilities for interlinking support, remember this.

From my experience, it is not necesary to build links to all your pages. Anyway, I try to bookmark most of my pages.

I don't know where this "natural" nonsense came from.
What the heck is natural? There is no man behind the curtain...

Build as many links as you can to your main page. But, be sure and
have all pages linked from it. Or not that deep. PR flows downhill.

I do mix it up, but has nothing to do with natural. On some places,
a subpage link is a better fit. I do about 65-75% main index page,
the rest mixed up. But it's not for anything natural.

Some subpages I have built no backlinks to, and they have high PR simply
on internal linking, or other people linking in.

The last thing you want to do is to mix it up. If you have 30 pages, 25
out of every 30 backlinks should be going to the main page. Use
      consistent anchor text.

Forget thinking natural. I have no idea why people are so scared of
backlinking like a maniac. Go a little crazy.

No it's not necessary to get backlinks for all pages. Target only those pages/keywords which you want. You may submit other pages in social bookmarking sites. Its also helpful.

Making backlinks only for some pages doesn't hurt your ranking and its natural. Almost all websites concentrate on making backlinks for some pages more than the others. Don't worry about it. But note to the internal structure of your links too.

It's been my experience to point some to inner pages. Once they begin to rank well, then you can pick another page etc, etc. The inner pages that rank, end up getting some PR along the way too, which doesn't hurt. Ideally, if half of my sites pages had PR, that can't be a bad thing.

Any backlinks you create by hand should not get you sandboxed so no need to worry about that at all.
