Learn proper "on page seo". Along with a keyword rich domain name I outranked sites with 150+ backlinks with my meager 17 backllinks.

I actually do not spend much time on the first one. When it comes to sites that you don't own you can have your pages taken away at any time for any reason (or no reason) what-so-ever. If this happens then all the SEO effort you put into that page was wasted.

As far as backlinking software goes, the best one is the one that you make yourself and keep it from the rest of the world. That's what I did. Of course, for the more complex stuff even I had to outsource some coding but I'm all set. Any program that is publicly available is available to your competitors. This doesn't mean you shouldn't pick all those programs up, just realize that they are not The Solution, they're just another tool.

Personally I do page rank sculpting which is where you build a high PR domain, then structure an efficient in site linking network to channel your page rank through the site with zero friction.

I link from my home page to any page I'm trying to rank numerous times.

Then I use the following:

Blog farms
Pumper blogs
Article Marketing
Signature Surges
XRumer blasts

To blast the crap out of the site with links of the same anchor text until it breaks down and cries.

web 2.0 links are good but they would not work in the long run.I would say high pr sites linking back to you would do the magic for you.Social bookmarking and article submission can act as supporters.

A blog is also a great way to generate traffic to your site. Commenting on posts in other blogs also gives you the opportunity to place a link to your site or blog. Leave a comment and add a signature after the post.

One Way Links’ are the best kind, but are very hard to get. A one way link will get you noticed by search engines immediately. Articles are an example of one way linking.

If u raely want to get ranking your site,U must go through directory,article,forum and bookmark.
Directory always choose witth more than 5 pr.
Article should be high quality written.

* by writing unique content an d updating the content all the time.
*by creating a good keyword phrase and note that the keyword should be popular but not too popular.
*getting the domain with you keyword phrase
* link building
* directory submission

Article writing, social bookmarking,social networking and making linkwheels is my suggestion for ranking high. I don't think optimizing for keywords with less than 1,000 searches per month takes long. Its very easy to rank for most of these keywords.

Never forget site maps and a good internal link network for your visitors.

The more human visitors reward your site, then the more google will.

Getting visitors to stick around is another analysis by the big G, concentrate on knocking down your bounce rate, this tells the search engines that your site is useful for that particular term and will therefore hold you in high regard for future organic requests.
