Adwords - Affiliate Review Pages Dead?

Was just looking through the ads in a few niche's I used to be involved with tonight, and I was shocked by what I found.. or rather, what I didn't find...

Not one ad for a product review site! These are niche's which were crawling with affiliate product review sites just 6 months ago. The only ads left are the singular, official product sites, only promoting their own product. Does this mean review sites are dead? Do we have to own our own product now to advertise on Google?

The funny thing is, Google still states in their TOS that they allow affiliates to advertise. Yet I barely see an affiliate in sight. I have been suspended for advertising "bridge pages" (aka: review pages with affiliate links), along with many people I know.

I guess times are changing. I actually don't blame google for getting rid of these sites, because at least 90% of them were rubbish. It's time to re-evaluate the business model and start providing real value to the user. The million dollar question is, is it possible to continue as an affiliate in 2010/11?

However you are agree with Google for not allowing advertising affiliate links, I don't know the exact reason. Maybe they are should do it not should not. But i am sure that affiliate marketing works in next years too. Because always online shopping is exist so some people buy and some other sale as affiliate.
