New AdWord campaign disapproved

Hi there,

I decided to try and start affiliate marketing last night and selected a nutrition site from clickbank then did a bit of keyword research and found what looks like some underused cheap keyword phrases.

I setup a couple of ads and within minutes they are disapproved. Have tried changing text, spent hours reading through google's policy and can't work out what I'm doing wrong. Could anybody help please. Ads which have been disapproved include:

----------------------
How to burn fat
Looking for a natural way to burn
your body fat?
www burnthefat com

How to lose body fat
A healthy natural easy to follow
plan. What are you waiting for?
www burnthefat com
-----------------------

Some of the other click ads make preposterous claims "lose 30 pounds in 4 weeks" etc. so I don't see why mine was banned.

A disappointing start to affiliate marketing...

Hohum

You should try contacting google . I cant post links yet so you should enter this into google and it will turn up in the first result :

    "Disapproved data feeds or items"

There are some most common reasons as to why you are being disapproved like (copy & paste):
    • Prices in your feed don't match the prices that appear on your item pages.
    • The links included in your feed are broken.
    • The links in your feed direct users to the homepage of your site instead of specific item pages.
    • The currency and language in your feed don't match those of the target country
    • You've included promotional text (e.g., free shipping!) in your items' titles or descriptions.
    • You're submitting data from your marketplace store.
    Hope this helps!

Let me know how it turned out

Rob, it's more the content than the ad, london to a brick the land page is hype hype and more hype, marry that with clickbank and you have a love affair that will only end in a bitter divorce and a custody battle over pennies.

Move on past it, there are some products in cb that may float but i personally would not bother with them.

Have a look in the wso section / or here in this forum for those doing and working in these areas and pick one that suits. / there are many who are swinging the cat and making it purr like a kitten, grab one of those guys / gals and learn from those who are doing it.

Heheh - fair point mate - it does read a bit cheesy. I guess I just wanted to get started with something rather than end in analysis paralysis and never start with this whole internet marketing gig.

Have just created the same campaign on overture with no problems to see what happens. I will however take your advice and read a bit more...

      Cheers
