I'm converting much of my sales page into a video so most of my text content is going to disappear. I know that having video can boost your search rankings but my question is how to keyword-optimize your video and ensure enough content for indexing?

Is there a way to include a video text transcript in a similar way as an "alt tag" for images?

I'm thinking of maybe a link under my video saying something like "click here for transcript in case you have a problem with the video". The transcript would be hidden and become visible on the click.

Is this viable and what other options are there for SEO when using video?

Thanks for any tips!

There is a way to do something like closed captioning with
    captions and subtitles.
    YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

There are probably other ways of adding a file to the video
as well. There are some experts here on the WF.

You should have a text version anyway. Some people don't
like videos. Give an alternate link for that. Double bonus!
