What's The Easiest Way To Get Your Site Approved By Google Adwords?

I've been using Google Adwords for over a year in the past with no problems.

About two months ago, a site that was up and running fine on their system got shut down for a low landing page score. I went back and fourth with them about it, but they provided no specific details on what I need to do to get approved. They just said it didn't meet their guidelines.

I've heard many stories of people getting shut down with Google Adwords (even after using them no problem for years and spending thousands with them). And... Google never explains WHY. It's frustrating.

Since then I've been using Microsoft Adcenter to good success, but would still like to use Google Adwords.

Whenever I try to use a landing page or sales page with Google Adwords, it gets disapproved.

What I'm wondering is if ANYONE has gotten around this?

What is the EASIEST way to get a site approved by them?

Am I going to have to submit just an article page with them to get approved??

I'd really like to use Google Adwords, but would love to know HOW.

    As per my knowledge adwords does not allow Gambling, Spam, Adult websites.

    The simplest and most accurate easiest way to get a site approved by them is following their terms. If you read their terms and do them, be sure that you ads will be approved.

    stop building single land pages and start building land sites and include all support pages / about us etc etc

    Thanks for the replies.

    I will experiment with creating a landing page with some more content on it, along with the about us, privacy policy, etc... and focus on lead generation instead of sales.

    I had a sales page with an about us, contact us, etc... on it, but was disapproved. Then I tried a landing page, but it didn't have much text on it, just a headline, subheadline and a opt-in form.

    I'll try a longer landing page with some pages.

    Also I heard switching up the domain is important, as Google might have mine currently flagged.

      keep in mind there are some topics that regardless of what you do will never float such as some mmo, clickbanky hype, get my ex back, snake oil, rebill and the like.

        This may be the problem... not sure. My niche offers a remedy e-book on how to cure a specific condition.

        I DO have a blog with tons of content, but has a pop-up for a opt-in form. Maybe if I remove it and put the opt-in in a sidebar, and there's a ton of content on it and everything, they will approve.

        The only downside to this is that it will have less conversions, as they aren't taken to a landing page or sales page... but might get some leads from it and will have to test it to see if it is worth the price I'd be paying.

        Again, Adcenter has no problems with me and have been very supportive and communicate well. Too bad Google is so much more strict.

          A lot of those types often seem snake oil. tryinhere himself started a very illuminating thread a few months back. A boat building guide if I recall. Basically, the wording was too hypey to Google's liking by guaranteeing success even if you never drove in a nail with a hammer.

          I don't know your landing page but if you use such language as "you'll be cured of x disease in 10 days", you may have a problem unless a third party can help prove this. Not a testimonial but a scientific trial.

          So without looking at your site, can't really help. Your problem however is probably just turning off the hype.

    Be aware of their terms and conditions with regards to google adwords. Be responsible for their policies.

      I find if you have a real blog and are offering people something more than just the basic landing page you ads should get approved pretty fast

      Try adding more "valuable content" to your site

    You should of gotten an e-mail on why you was disapproved. They will tell you why in the e-mail. I'm not sure what your landing page is. However, you have to be doing something wrong. Their intentions is not to disapprove you.

    It can be a pain in the ass. I've experienced the same issues in the past. However, there was always something that was not compliant. If you e-mail them ask them specifically what is wrong. You can always call them as well.

    Wanted to update everyone with my status with Adwords.

    I decided to just test things to see if I get approved with Adwords using just a wordpress.com site and domain. I made a Wordpress blog that just has an article on it, a picture, and some content. In the article just a link back to my primary site.

    When I put in the ads, they were disapproved almost instantly. It's almost like the computer disapproved them and someone wasn't even reviewing them. Not sure about this though, maybe it was manually reviewed.

    I also used a different Adwords account then I've previously used.

    I got this e-mail from them:

    Please note that when a site is found to be in violation of our Landing Page and Site Policies, the site is disabled within your AdWords account and respective ads are disapproved for "Site Policy." Disabling is an action applied at the domain level, and it results in a low landing page quality score and termination of ad traffic. If multiple ad groups have landing pages with the same disabled domain, the keywords in those ad groups will have identical landing page quality scores as well.

    It says it was disapproved at the DOMAIN level. So does that mean the domain keywords I'm using are the reason for the disapproval? If so, maybe I should test using a totally unrelated domain name.

    Any thoughts on this?
