Article Marketing and Backlinks

Hello my friends;

I do appreciate the helpful comments here. I once was foolish enough to think i understood (at least a little) article marketing and link building. But the more I read, the more confused I became.

So let me ask two really simple and direct questions on something I recently became confused about.

If I submit an article to E-zine, should I wait two or three weeks (or longer) before I submit the same article to other directories for link-building purposes?

Secondly, I have an affiliate site I write articles for. Should I place my new articles on my site first for fresh content purposes, at least till the spiders come by, and then submit them to E-zine and then to the other directories?

thanks

Jim

Thanks

I do appreciate the help. I still haven't made a dime yet, but I will. I will.

    Once your articles are approved at EzineArticles, start spreading those puppies out! There's no reason to wait that long to start distributing your articles.

    As far as the other question, I would place the article on your site and THEN submit to EzineArticles and all other article directories you wish you submit to.

      Yep, just what I was going to say. Articles on your website first, then to Ezine, once approved at Ezine submit to other directories.

      I also like to change the title a bit and the first sentence of the article when submitting to other directories. Even though there is no penalty for duplicate content, I like to do this for optimizing different keywords.

        There is a Plug-in for Wordpress that enables you to post your blog articles straight to Ezine. You can find it in your author area.
        So duplicate content no. Doesn't exist.
        Look at Google itself, it is all duplicate content, they don't penalize themselves do they.

    Absolutely not. There's nothing to gain by waiting.

    Clearly and definitely, yes. For all the reasons explained in great detail in this important thread, which will answer many other questions for you, too, if you give it a slow and careful read: rarely have so many successful article marketing experts all posted together in one thread, all saying the same things. Recommended!

    (Don't take them off your site, after they're indexed there!).
