OK, here's the deal:

- 2 word micro site, I would be buying the hypenated .com version.
- 5,400 local monthly searches with estimated CPS of $1.13.
- 64,000 pages indexed by Google search for the broad two keywords
- 12,900 pages indexed for exact two keyword search
- allintitle exact of only 648 pages
- allinurl exact of 270 pages
- page rank of top four sites for the keywords search are 0 4 0 1
- Amazon sells at least several dozen products that match the two keywords when searching Amazon.

What are your thoughts on this micro niche based on these criteria? All imput appreciated and thanks in advance.

It looks like you have a good keyword to target. Go for it. You probably won't get fast results, but it shouldn't take too long to get on page 1.

My bad. One correction. I will be buying the .net or .org version of the hyphenated two keyword EMD domain name. Does this change the scenario?

Not really. Some people believe that you have a slight edge with .com exact domain names, but .net and .org should work just as well.

They hyphen should also be fine. I seem to recall a report where Google said that they like hyphens first, no spaces second, and underscore's last for filenames. I'm not sure if the same is true for domain names.

it changes it a bit, google tends to favor the .com over the .net and .org, so if you have someone with a .com trying to rank for the same keyword chances are they will rank better then you, but my guess would be that an automated software bought up that domain name to resell and its probably not even active yet, if so you may want to check out its link structure. I would not know about hyphenated compared to no spaces; i only use no spaces and tend to see my domain on one of the first 10 serp pages within 1 day of registering the domain, that is for a 150,000 search result term. So if you do have good results with the hyphenated version simply by registering the domain name please do let us know.

Yes, your guess is correct. I am a bit troubled by the fact that the hyphenated dot com is taken, but them's the breaks as they say.

      Appreciate the comments so far.
