Hey warriors,

So I've tried making a few CPM ads on Facebook today- and even with the same adcopy I had before, my CTR was RIDICULOUSLY low.

I've heard before that Facebook likes to put CPM ads on game traffic (when people are playing games instead of just browsing FB).

So- am I crazy, or is it normal for straight CPM ads to have these lower CTRs?

PS This was promoting free stuff for a zip submit, so maybe it depends on the vertical?

facebook CTR's are always ****, make sure you stay with a CPC or they will flat out drain your bank with their suggested CPM costs.

    Are you comparing with Google?

The answer is that the CTR is a lot higher on Google people are actually SEARCHING for information.

The people on Facebook are just going about their lives, not necessarily searching for the information you are offering.

You are not crazy. You are just passionate and love what you do. Just continue what you are doing and you will reap the harvest soon.
