can english language backlink will help our sep in other language??

hi i want to ask..

if i build backlink using english language link to my other language website.. "My sites is in other language (indonesian language) " will it help rank my sites in indonesian language ?

cause some people said that

"Fortunately, I believe that Google automatically translates anchor text when you link from website to website, so in your language, or English, it would be interpreted the same by the algorithm"

what do u people thinks?thanks

    I dont think Google will translate an anchor text. Why dont you write articles/posts in english and include your indonesian keyword in the text as a link? It is possible in some hgih pr article directories and on blog networks etc.

    I think Google doesn't translate anchor texts. Almost i am sure about it. Use anchor text in any language you need.

    Yes it works. I tried doing SEO on a chinese site with English articles. I got ranked on page 1 of Google no. 1 for it.

    The weird thing is every single other listing is in Chinese, but for the ENGLISH tsite that I ranked. =]

      I have the same issue with one of my websites.
      Did you use an English anchor and ranked the translated keyword?

    yep,

    you can post your english word anchor links on .de .fr .pl .es .br .cn etc. and Google will rank them

      What I ment is that I have a website in non-English language.
      It is hard to place non-English anchor in backlinks, so if I put the translated to English anchor will it rank for the non-English anchor?
