Nice blog post Man... Some good quality info there

Trust is only going to continue getting more and more important in Google in my opinion!

I've seen big changes in the last few years in how Google ranks my sites and it all seems to point to how I approach the link building promotion...

On a new website if I work hard for 2 months building a diverse set of one way, good quality backlinks then I find I get quicker, more stable results...

...Then once Trust is established in the domain, Google are more lenient in their view of the links you build...

The key is to establish trust earlier on with good backlinks (at least that has been my experience)..

That's exactly what I'm talking about I guess we're on the same page when it comes to link building. I've worked with a lot of authority sites, and one of the things that really caught my attention is that it's easier to have their new pages/blog posts to rank on "Google's first page" (for profitable keywords) by just having the advantage of the "trust" that search engines see on the site.

i agree with what Wesley has said, once your site is liked by Google it makes it much easier to target other keywords, add more content and so on.

My tip is that you should continue to add new content on your site regularly because it shows Google you are giving up to date info making it less likely to let other sites take your place.

What I also like about adding new content is that you can then go and forward that same content to so many other sites and distribute your knowledge all over the net

Ditch the low-quality backlink rat-race and develop your own strategy to consistently gain high quality links. It takes more time to learn, but the benefits are long-term and much more potent.

My tip would be to start with GOOD keyword research. That's the foundation. if you rush through the KW research phase and select words that are too competitive or lacking in commercial potential, all further SEO tasks may be in vain. It starts with solid KW research. I am learning to put the bulk of my time into KW research. All other SEO tasks will build upon that stable KW foundation.

I very much agree with your notions of trust, and the other views on content, quality links and KW research.

If I wanted to add my 2c on whats already here, it would be:

    1. Understand the importance of analyzing backlink profiles. It seems that my understanding of link building is always based on the degree to which I have analyzed the backlinks of high ranking sites.

    2. Establish a testing framework for your efforts. This can involve getting enough sites online (all of a reasonable standard of quality) that you can test different seo approaches on different sites for different periods of time to start to get a feel for what seems to be working and to be able to try to isolate the effects of your different efforts to given sites to some degree (at least for a while).

    Exactly,

Trust in the search engines are HUGE...be as natural as possible, establish premium links and engage and interact with authority sites.

Also...keyword research is HUGE because google is an organization of information. Use the wonderwheel to peice together how google structures information in your market and use that to establish your content.

    Hope this helped,

    - Insert keywords within the title so that search engine robots will know your page is about. The title tag is located right at the top of your document within the head tags. Inserting a keyword or key phrase will greatly improve your chances of bringing targeted traffic to your site. Make sure that the title tag contains text which a human can relate to. The text within the title tag is what shows up in a search result. Treat it like a headline.
-Use the same keywords as anchor text to link to the page from different pages on your site. This is specially useful if your site contains many pages. The more keywords that link to a specific page, the better.

Every advices in here are related to SEO and it really helps some of the advice. And I really appreciate that. Thanks!

      Some tid bits here:

You have to have a good quality content, use a dot com website extension, keyword research using google adword keyword tool. And never compete w/ highly targeted traffic keyword just look for the less competition.

Also On page Off page seo, rss, forum marketing, press release marketing, video marketing, article directories submission, pad file submission, social media, social bookmarking, etc...

And use also google trends so that you can target w/c places is highly looking for that particular niche.

Use also twitter marketing like posting your url link on the profile so that you get a backlink to your site. Change also the background of your twitter and put your image of your webiste on it.

Try also to use twitter transparent background so that you have a wider space placing your image. You can see an example below of my signature.

The key to success is taking the action. Quit of being perfect just do it!

It's a technique wherein you build or hire someone to build a plugin/app/widget (for wordpress or other CMS), this widget should be extremely useful or creatively done in order for people to naturally get this widget. Of course once they install it on their blog, they're definitely giving you a link

I used to spend a lot of time and effort on SEO and on getting quality/relevant backlinks a couple of years ago. That is because the blog was new and had a small audience, so publishing outstanding content alone wouldn’t do the trick. How did I go about attracting backlinks? Doing three things mainly:
    1. Submitting my posts to social bookmarking sites. There are plenty of do-follow social bookmarking sites out there that will send you link juice even if you are the only one voting for your story. On top of that I also tried to promote my killer articles on Digg, StumbleUpon and Delicious, and whenever I managed to score a front page a big influx of organic links would come.
    2. Networking with fellow bloggers. Building a relationship with bloggers inside your niche is essential. This means that I would link to them often, and many times they would return the favor. I am not talking about link exchanges but rather about natural links to quality content that your fellow bloggers post.
    3. Guest blogging. As you probably know I am a big fan of guest blogging. Back in the day I used to do it a lot, which sent both new readers and backlinks my way. Sometimes instead of using the byline link to my homepage I would point it to a related post I had published on my blog, and that can help a lot with search rankings.

Well, I probably should have answered that a little less ambiguously. Because re-reading what I said, I now realize it didn't make any f'n sense. Sorry about that.

        What I should have said:
My best SEO tip = either make your links build themselves or get others to do it for you; this way you have more time to focus on everything else.
        This means you could:
        - Outsource your "simple" linkbuilding
        - Use mass harvesting and link generating software
        - Linkbait awesome content

I'm a SMB SEO, not an Adsense guy, so this sort of a procedure makes sense and is gradually giving me time to expand my business (I'm trying to start a creative marketing firm).

Couldn't agree more, that's why it's quite important to have creative minds on board to have the marketing swift as possible as it can be. Doing link bait (may it be through educational content, infographs, tools/widget, ebook) or link magnetism, it's simply the best way to do marketing. It's like a word of mouth marketing over the Internet, which only requires you to think outside of the box and let everything fall in its place, while you are advancing on other important tasks to be done.

        - For software, try scrapebox
        - For outsourcing, try making documentation:
        (a) A step-by-step tutorial that teaches someone how to build links
        (b) A google document where you keep all your link building resources, you know, blogs/forums, decent directories, etc.
Now your outsourcer is going to be able to work quickly, and you're in overall good shape to try other stuff like...
        - Create linkbait = generate interesting content and promote it on social sites. If you make it, links will come.
