New content question involving the nose-picking niche

Hey all,

I have sorta shifted my Adsense focus from microniche sites to larger sites (ie authority) and was wondering about content. I figure I am going to have targeted pages on my sites that should rank quite well (according to MS), and then update with supporting posts. However, because the pages are so specific, I don't know how many articles I could actually put up before I was repeating myself.

For example, if I had an authority site about Nose Pickers (hey, I'm sure it's a niche somewhere ! ) and one of the pages was about how much money a nose picker makes in salary (with other pages being stuff like working conditions, where to study to be a pro nose picker, great nose pickers in history, etc) ...well, there's only so much you could write on the target topic (is nose pickers' salaries) and submit as a supporting post on the page. Here's what I was thinking as a way to save time, so please feel free to offer advice.

Since I could probably write at least one article (but probably not much more), if I were to spin the article, delete the original post, then submit the newly spun article (including a change in title, though still the same topic) as a new post, would Google recognize it as new and updated content and rank my page accordingly? Or would I just be wasting my time? I figure that a good article that is spun could mean potentially hundreds of articles on the same topic, but could Google recognize it, especially if there is always only one post on the page...does that make sense of am I being too vague?

Anyway, hope someone could give me some advice on this.

regards,

Doug
