bookmarking to Scuttle / Scuttle Plus sites?

I see a lot of the powerful services offer the ability to bookmark to normal sites like Delicious etc.

but they also allow bookmarking to Scuttle and Scuttle Plus sites.

Is it worthwhile to bother bookmarking to them? Do they add to backlinks or traffic at all?

I heard due to it being open source the sites are prone to viruses as well!?

Any Thoughts? Anyone doing Scuttle sites and getting results?

It depends on what you're backlinking for. If it's for traffic, you need to ask yourself if the quality of the links is going to be quality. If it's for search engine ranking, then don't waste your time. I'm putting out a wso this week on how I got on page one of google in an hour, so I know what I'm talking about.

    I hope that helps!

I heard of scuttle but haven't came across a lot of people mention about it when they do bookmarking.

Ya, I did some Google searches and not many people talking about how to use Scuttle for SEO purposes.

I did read a blog from a guy who created 10 of his own scuttle sites and slapped adsense on it. Due to the traffic and Google Love of constant new content, he was making $5 - $10 in AdSense.

But no mention on how Scuttle links may help SEO

My 2 cents. Open source being prone to virus is a BIG myth. I see loads of virus for non-open source OS windows and none for Linux

Secondly, I only bookmark my pages to high PR / traffic or dofollow SB sites. If the SB site is PR 0/1 and doesn't have much traffic, I give it a skip.
