Of competing on page ONE. I see countless threads that post their keyword research with exact match, broad match, and in quotes index results. For those that are new. Stop focusing on this!

You aren't competing with the site on Page 23, your competing with the sites on page ONE. When you are doing keyword research and find a well searched niche, you need to see whats on page ONE--thats it. Don't worry about how many sites show up in quotes or how many exist with the allintitle search.

I assure you that if you could find a keyword with less than 200 results in quotes and everybody on page one is optimizing for that keyword in a strong manner you simply are NOT going to rank very quickly.

So type in the keyword into Google with nothing fancy. No quotes, no allintitles, allinurls, etc. You are competing with those that rank for the keyword as its typed into the Big G and nothing else.

    Hey! I love the RANT!!!

    When you're doing keyword/competition research... Your TRUE comptetition is PAGE ONE. F*** the other million pages (even if your search term has a million search results), your competition is #1-10 on page One. You reverse engineer their backlinks, do your RESEARCH and you should be able to accomplish your goal! (It might take a month, it might take 9 months!!)

    You are true but what webmasteres are usually do for finding keywords and checking first page results and the number of results is usually true and in most cases its a good fast way for finding good keywords to compete for. But if they want a depth analyze, you are true.
