Your time would better be spent using SEOMoz's tool open site explorer. It is also free. The days of analyzing page content are far behind us. Focus your energy and money on the links and anchor text coming in.

Whilst I totally agree with that and do engage in building targeted inbound links, would it not be better to also write much better appealing content by knowing what the top sites are using as phrases? The purpose of this is to write more appealing content for users which search engines can automatically identify and in no way keyword stuff.

Just want to be able to add much much more value to my sites now!

Reread what Zaheer is talking about.

Web Content Studio (WCS) is used for harvesting keyword phrases from the top position websites and using those phrases for writing well-themed content.

When you write well-themed content, link building becomes less important.

I have used a WCS alternative but can't recall it's name. It was pretty good but didn't have all the features of WCS. I will look around for it.

Exactly, I'd rather spend more time building quality content so others can link to it because its THAT good. Just like everyone else I hate linkbuilding so anything that helps reduce link building and increase my SERPS with content is definitely welcome.

Really appreciate if you remember the tool. I'll purchase WCS but just not yet!

Jack Duncan used to have a cheaper alternative called Ultimate Keyword Tool Extractor and quite good one at that. He's here at WF, but not sure if he still has it as a WSO.

Thanks for that, looks like an awesome tool and pretty much what Im looking for. However for an additional $10 I could just purchase WCS...lol

Just looking for something a lot cheaper for the short-term.

I have used Jack Duncan's UKTE and it does what it says on the tin and extracts common keywords in the top 10 of Google for your main keyword.

These sort of tools are great for finding the common keywords and the related keywords theory is certainly the right approach to creating themed content. However, don't fall into the trap that UKTE or web content studio is the complete solution. Discovering LSI and related keywords is just the beginning. They are just words and phrases at the end of the day.

Knowing how best to use them and also all the esoteric and other "in the know" keywords can only be done by proper niche research. It is not as boring as it sounds either. In fact understanding how and why to use keywords opens up a whole wealth of untapped ideas, tangent niches and topics to create great content about. Getting under the skin of your market and getting to know it as an expert in your field is an exciting and very lucrative opportunity.

I copy/paste the page into here

Build Your Word List

and it tells me the 2 or 3 word phrases most used

For example, Steves Adsense bootcamp page in his sig has the terms:

adsense 101 bootcamp - 11 times
the adsense 101 - 10 times
sign up now - 5 times
the bootcamp is - 3 times

Hi Nettech,

Dr Andy is offering his SEOWSB software as a free program now that he has released WCS. SEOWSB was the forerunner of WCS and was (still is) a great tool for building themed websites.

It does have a keyword tool and other similar features but nothing as robust as WCS.

It is really a great tool, and the price is right - free.

I think Content Composer is similar and has some of the same features. You should be able to find a free copy in Google.

Hi Zaheer, I've been thinking the exact same thing. So I did some research and came across an updated version of Easy Article Rewriter Pro by Andy Black that has some of WCS's attributes.

Easy Article Rewriter - Write Or Rewrite Articles With Ease (non affiliate link)

This has an LSI library, but I'm pretty sure you have to find & input the terms yourself. The software comes with an "LSI Code" book to show you how to find the LSI terms for inclusion.

I wrote to Andy asking him how it compares to Web Content Studio. Here is his reply:

I'm not aware of this other software you mention. Easy Article Rewriter Pro is great for writing or rewriting keyword rich content using LSI but the LSI keywords are pulled manually using the free report that is included called 'The LSI Code'. At some point we may be automating this process to speed it up. With our software currently only $27 it is a steal and has many happy users. This price is likely going up in January.
As for being Mac compatible, unfortunately it isn't. The market share isn't there to justify the time spent developing a Mac version.

You may want to take a closer look at this and it is only $27 and has a 14-day money back guarantee.

I'm still considering it.

Exactly...

Although I can see the strength of using themed content, it's only a basis.

I would for example first answer questions in a niche in my own words, and then check that text in wcs to see if I can theme it a bit better by adding a few words or change it around here and there.

John X factor's tea example: composing an article around the words alone, that wcs comes up with, I am not so sure about that.

  I am going to echo those who support Jack Duncan's suite of tools (in particular my mentor Steve Crooks). Some have already recommended the UKTE, but I would also recommend his Keyword Sniper Pro and Ultimate Content Analyzer Pro. I believe that they all work together. CT

WCS is a total waste of money: it does nothing I can't do myself and if you want the best keywords/phrases just check what people are searching for. I don't really see the point in article-writing tools for anybody but those that can't write!

You are probably right when you say that you can do it all by yourself without wcs.

Like you don't really need a matchbox to light a fire.

But that takes time.

So you either waste money or you waste time ...

yeah, when i first read john x factor's new ebbok, i really wanna buy a copy of web content studio. But the price isn't logic me, still looking for other alternatives right now, would easy-article-rewriter.com do that?

While themed content alone may not get you high rankings in the search engines, Andy Williams' Web Content Studio software WILL help you write better articles. This is where I see it has its best value.
