Does Google ever update page rank?

The last update was April 2nd. It used to be quarterly but not the case this year. There's been speculation that PR will be no more and other speculation that the next one will be at the end of this year, so I guess we'll soon find out more. SERP may be the new PR.

If you're worried about Google ever crediting your site with the PageRank it deserves, don't worry. Google updated PageRank every day. If you're asking when you'll see PageRank on your Google toolbar, that's a different story. No one really knows, and they may never update it ever again.

If you really need to know the PR of your site, check its backlinks. The highest PR dofollow backlink you have is probably your PageRank (assuming it's a legit link, and not a blog comment or something).

Yes, internally (at google) it's updated all the time, it's just isn't shown to us..

Amout of positions "my page rank has changed - I guess this month is a ranking Quarterly Review Page is not the best guide to how your site really is and you should ignore it.

I guess nobody got the joke. Orun actually meant Feb 29th, 2011.

Just because your site does not move does not mean there is no update.
Do you think you should always move up? If that were the case, then all
you need is 10 PR updates to get to PR10.

PR is indeed calculated on an almost continuous basis. It has to be. The
internet is dynamic. People discount PR for SERPs, but there is a method
to google's madness with PR. All things being equal, it counts quite a bit.

PageRank is updated for about 3 months. Google may also like children, sooner or later.
Page rank, Google, how to present a real and dynamic as ever change. No other institution in the world knows the true pr. This is issued for public use, these values are rounded and have a google PR update deciaml necessaryly 3.124 or 2.789, or 10, not 3 stars, such as might be something like an integer. However, rounding rule can not be used outside of Google.

My page rank has not moved. I red somewhere that this year - 2011 is the year when Google's page rank patent is expiring and they will have to disclose their ranking algorithm. I guess that's why I haven't seen my site's PR movement since Oct 2010. I think Google is abandoning it.
