my wordpress got booted

I was on the first page of bing for my blog and my blog on wordpress.com got booted.

I had a link that was linked to my blogger page (used blogger as a landing page for all my articles etc) and on my blogger page there was an affiliate link. They don't give you the exact reason why. It said that the page went against their tos.

All input will greatly be appreciated.

    I know you probably don't want to hear this, but your best bet would be to set up the blog again with your own hosting. That way you can put whatever you want on it.

      If a wp.com blog looks like it's part of a traffic funnel, it will get nuked. Sounds like that was what your was. wp.com is good, IF you know what you are doing and take care to be very very legit. If you own a couple tags there you can make good money. I report any that look like a funnel to me and WP nukes them right away and reports back that they nuked them and will nuke related blogs if found "Hi, Thanks for the report - that blog is suspended. If we find any blogs related to that blog then they will be removed too."

    Setting up WordPress on your own domain is absolutely the way to go.

    When this happened to me I was able to ask WordPress.com to unlock my blog so I could extract my content, which I then imported to my new self-hosted WordPress and I haven't looked back.

    wordpress.com is alot like wikipedia. They don't want any obvious promotions and affiliate links. That's why you'll need to either use another web 2.0 site like typepad or wikia two of the hotter sites. Or as preferred, get a hosted wp blog.
