Google Indexing Me Again After a Move? How long?

So I recently moved from Blogger custom domain to self hosted wordpress. I had someone move me and they set up redirects and did all that fancy stuff that was supposed to keep my backlinks intact. Only problem is, now if you type my blog name into google, you get posts and links from other sites (to my site and within my site), but you can't access the homepage via google anymore.

Does this mean it has been de-indexed? How long before google pulls me back in again? I was on the front page of Google before the move....

I feel like I can't complain too much because I've never gotten search engine traffic and all of a sudden now I am. But none of it is to my home page. I can only imagine how much more I'd be getting if my homepage was coming up in the serps....

If you haven't done it already, register your site in Google Webmaster Tools, verify your ownership and submit your site map.

Here are a couple of videos - this one introducing Webmaster Tools:

Your redirects should take you directly from the original article on your Blogger blog directly to the article on the new WordPress permalink. In other words, the redirects should be one to one.

And don't worry too much about your home page - my home page is the entry page on my site only about 15 - 20% of the time. Most traffic goes directly in to a specific article. As long as your redirects are working properly you should continue getting the traffic you were before.

    Cheers,

    Martin.

I am on google webmaster tools and did resubmit successfully, so I guess I sit and patiently wait for now!

That does make me feel good to know that it's common to not have a ton of traffic come through your home page! Thanks for letting me know that!
