I have seen this pop up a few times, is this allowed?

Say i was testing a niche on clickbank I could write an article submit to EZA and use my aff link in the resource box to try to get sales?

If people do this do they cloak their aff link?

Just wondering if this is something that is effective as I am currently getting my feet wet with IM as many here are aware (lots of questions this week) if i could direct link with some good quality keyword rich titled articles I could maybe grab a sale or 2 while i build backlinks to my main site.

You thoughts are appreciated fellow IM ninjas

You can certainly try it, but I am pretty sure it is against the EZA TOS, but you might want to check that out to be sure.

Sometimes what people do is insert the link to a page on tehir own site and tehn after a while, switch it out, with either a redirect to the salespage or the affiliate link itself.

The editors will allow it if you cloak it. You have to cloak it pretty well though, as in possibly buy your own domain and redirect it to the offer.

And if you're going to do that, you might as well just build a list and promote the offer via your own marketing strategies.

It's against EzineArticles' TOS. However, you can link to a top-level domain and do a redirect from there.

Read their Terms of Service HERE.

As stated above, it is against Ezine (and most other article directories) T&Cs, but you can certainly direct link them to your website and sell from there.

This would require doing a little SEO on the article itself and optimizing it for a higher (tempting) click-through to your page.

Try this technique out on other directories too though.

EZA is very good for backlinks as they have a lot of trust, however not the best for direct linking as they have a lot of adsense ads on the page before you get to your link (allows for a lot of lost traffic before you even have a chance to sell to them)

Try GoArticles, Articlesbase, ArticleFactory, ArticleDashboard, etc. - You will get different results on each.

    Cheers,
    Dave
