another question on keywords in domain

This may sound daft but wanted to make sure.
For example i want a domain name with the keyword gringostar

now if gringostar.com etc etc etc is taken could i use gringostarwoopdedoo.com if i did would it still rank for gringostar or gringostarwoopdedoo

    Yes, as long as it's in the domain it's fine. Now you just need to make the rest of the domain name relevant and not too long.

    thanks, but ( i hate that word) even if the rest of the domain name did not make lots of sense would it affect my rankings, just as you know most good keyword domains are gone but there is a niche i am looking at that i like.

      Go for the niche. Ignore the competition if you really love it.

      And yes, this will hurt your SEO, but SEO is really just an accumulation of little things. The most important factors being backlinks and content. Domain relevance is kind of secondary in my opinion.

      In other words, just buy it with a prefix or suffix and don't worry about it so much.
