What is the Easiest Way to Raise your Google Ranking...

However, I am talking about how to raise your website from the second page onto the first page (on a High Competition Keyword).

I am thinking about Link Vana, or "the Hoist", or just finding someone to do backlinks for me, and maybe doing some Press Releases...

but I don't want to try so many things... I just want to do something that will show results with little effort on my part (other than spending some money.)

Thanks Guys and Have a Great Christmas,
Google Warrior

Well SEO sounds simple but its a list of all those time consuming things like,

Onsite: Meta, sitemap, title tag, linking, page creating etc
Offsite: Keyword research, competitive analysis, link building, article marketing etc.

Research is one thing that bores me everytime.

Um...yes, robbertpenny...my site is Search Engine Optimized. It is on the first page of Google near the bottom and sometimes at the top of the Second Page of Google. As I said in my original thread...the other websites are professional sites. I want to jump frog them.

So, do you guys know of any great ways to increase your Google Rankings?

If there was a simple solution then everyone would be on page 1...but there is only room for 10 sites!

If you meant Hoist by Warrior Billy then that's a great idea - I have worked with him in past and he does a wonderful work with his partner Penny.

I have never used Linkvana personally and nor do I plan to, given the feedback that I have had about high pricing, high efforts and lower number of backlinks that you receive given the amount of effort.

Press releases is a tremendous idea. Wrongly done, they will be useless. Properly done, they are probably the strongest SEO tool (since you are viewing from the SEO angle) that is vendor-neutral. So if you are going for press releases, understand what the press wants and write accordingly, else you shall be wasting your efforts. But if you do it properly, it is probably THE goldmine to dig deep into.

This is what we did to get number one is Google Ranking.

#1 We made sure we had keywords for competive searches.

#2 We made sure we had the correct metatags.

#3 We started s simple WP blog and started writing keyword
        related articles.

#4 We ran several free classified ads.

#5 Started a back linking campaign.

This got us to number one is a little less than 6 weeks.

If you want proof I can PM your the site.

I have no idea what your niche is, but the way to beat your competitors is to first, find out what they are doing, and second, do it better and/or do more. This involves both on page and off page SEO, but don't just shoot from the hip, do your market research to find out what needs to be done.

Market Samurai can tell you a lot about the first page rankings for your keyword(s). They have a trial full-featured version good for (I think) 14 days. A little pricey at $149 or whatever it is now, but well worth it for market research. And their training at the MS Dojo is both free and excellent.

High quality links, SEO, and all associated "white hat" techniques. Plus, the willingness to accept that the process may take time.

Flog your site till it starts bleeding. Once it sees blood all over its pages, it will agree to improve its ranking.

Just kidding! I'm in the mood to catch some fun.

I think you have to ask a warrior, Mattaclear about this. He's one of the best in this field.

Find .edu, .gov and other high page rank sites. I am a noob too and my sites are like yours. Sitting at no.10 then sometimes at the top of page 2. What I did was to create links for 8 hours everyday until my site is at the same position when I started it. Seriously? Backlinks. Don't sop building links. I am not stopping until I find my site sitting at the top or top 5. Being a noob, it is an achievement.

Build links and always concentrate on the quality of the backlinks you build and not the quantity. Build various types of links (Profile links, Blog Comments, Article, Social Book Marks, etc).
Do it slowly as if appear to be a natural process, then google also will be happy
