Paying For Backlink Services vs Doing it yourself?

I only have 2 websites for my offline business that I have managed to get into the top 2-3 spots in google which I don't want to lose. However I am spending around $150/month for programs to build my links which does take some time on my part as well. There looks like there is some really good link building services that would save me money and time that would give me more backlinks with more diversity. My only concern is that I am controlling the rate at which the backlinks are delivered and am worried that if I order the services that they would be blasted once or twice a month and I may end up in the sandbox...which would destroy my offline business. Everyone says their backlink services are safe from the sandbox but I would like to know anyone else's experience...if they ever got sandboxed from any services? Also my current backlink strategy is not that diversified as well which is starting to worry me. Any suggestions?

I have never been sandboxed from hiring someone to do back links for me. Now I do notice that every time I hire someone my site that I get them to do links for does drop a but but then it comes back even stronger than before. But that's SEO for you.

Just do your research before you hire someone. See what others say about the person. Do they get results? are people happy with the service? Are credible people using the service?

Plus the other thing that I think about is the consistency of the linking. If you have hundreds done once a month and nothing else in the middle, that does seem a bit off, not natural. So see what you can do about getting things more regular.

That's been my experience anyways and it's been working out great so far. But good luck with your efforts.

Before hiring a person to build backlinks, check their testimonials. As a web site owner, try to improve the skills to build backlinks. Then you don't need to hire a person. You can check competitors backlinks with FREE tools. It's a proven method to get top positions.

As stated above it does depend on your time / money that you have. I personally would prefer to do the backlinking myself but could see why someone would pay for the service!

For your link building campaign, you can surely hire firms but be sure to check their credentials and begin small (preferably with a trial project) to test how well they do the job.
Remember that quality of links count more than mere quantity. Your chosen company should also build your backlinks slowly and consistently so that it looks natural in the eyes of the search engines.

You can't get sand boxed for having too many links. If that were the case then anyone out there could drive thousands of links to their competition's site and sandbox them, essentially wiping them out. I wouldn't hire an SEO firm because I feel they are overpriced but I outsource each individual act. Like I hire one person to do blog comments, and an other to do forum posts and an other to write and submit articles, etc... You should check out the forum, there are tons of great offers at great prices for certain SEO tasks. Also it's time vs. money. I value my time more and don't want to waste the whole day performing SEO tasks, when I could just outsource them but that's me.
