Hello Warriors,

I am new to SEO and have a question for you with more experience. I have 10 websites targeting different areas. They all are about my home service company with different URLS and names but in reality they are all the same company.

Is there any benefit to linking them together and if there is should I link them one by one or all of them on each one.

Thank you for your responce,

Richard

    GasBuddy.com has hundreds:
    texasgasprices.com
    arizonagasprices.com
    etc.

The thing is, they have cash and authority. You probably don't.
That's not a great example, as they are just really sub sites dealing
with different parts of the country, but really the same thing: gas prices.

It is much, much easier to do one site, with subpages for each area.
(Ex:Why would Home Depot do a separate site for plumbing, garden, etc.?)
They could, but no reason. They have a brand of Home Depot. You want
to build a brand as well. Home Depot is a better example of why not to.

Unless you have a lot of time and money, there is no need, but there is no
    harm either.

If are your sites are hosted by let's say Godaddy, don't link them together - no matter what.

However, let's say you have a WP and you link to one of your sites that's hosted on Godaddy or Host Gator - then I say yes, just don't do a recipricle link on them. ONly one way link

It is abstrusely true. Most of all you have to think profitable way.

I think there is no harm in it. You can link among all your websites. But it should not look like spamming or link stuffing.

yes, linking from the same IP does not add good score. You need to find cheap small hosting and host your site there, and then you can link them each other. That's why I create my business (in my signature)

    Hey,

While sites on the same IP being linked to each other won't help you pass PR or even help in increasing ranks, but they can help you share traffic between your sites.

So, use a nofollow tag and link them together, and the SE's won't mind it, and the traffic could be shared.

    Hope this helps,
    Aditya

There is something known as 'clever interlinking', if you can find a new way to do it, that is best, there are numerous methods you can search and find in google itself, but better is to devise your own method, use the mathematical solution of 'permutations and combinations'

Interlinking all sites is always a great idea but don't interlink each site to every other site, this is called reciprical linking and can devalue the links.

Go for an approach of linking to money pages of the other sites using keyword anchor text where relevant.

This is usually the best approach for me.

Stuffing all your links on a link page or sidebar will not be very successful compared to contextual topical linking.

personally i suggest you don't linked them with each others because they are not relevant or different c class.

dadamson brings up some finer points. There really is no danger unless you
are already doing some funny things. Sites like gasbuddy, icanhascheezburger,
wikipedia, etc., all interlink, all on same server. Wikipedia is a classic example as
to how dadamson was talking about. No, you don't want 1,000 sites with links
on the page to all 1,000, but having many links in strategic places, all linking to other
sites, same server or not, is actually quite desirable.

Gasbuddy.com's other pages are really bad looking to most people. The sites are
just copy-cat with only the name change and gas price on the index page.
They are in effect, the same sites, similar to what the OP seemed to want. But
we are not gasbuddy and I never feel the need to do a separate site for just
      sub headings of a business.

If you put godaddy in some other league and are worried, just stop and think. When
you are link building, I guess you have better do an IP check to make sure you are
getting a link on a server that is different than yours. Most shared servers on hosts
have 1,000's. Squidoo's pages are all on the same server. Does that mean I can only
make one site and give me no links? Course not.
