Hi Warriors, I have a question. Did anyone ranked any .us site in google.com for any particular keyword? Or is it rankable? and if there is any theory that .us domains can't be ranked?

Any experienced answers are very helpful + Thankful

Any domains can be ranked. Well, that's not true. Domains are not ranked,
      websites are.

Even though it's tanked, ruined, and obliterated, ever hear of del.icio.us?

There are many patriotic and American sites that love .us

      It's a viable extension.

I personally think that every domain name has its own importance every thing that matters the basic idea is user acceptance and marketing the specific product.

True, I agree. If you'd like to promote your site locally, I think it would be more effective if you also have same TDL for that certain location as well.

I like to use .us domains and have good experiences with them. I've been able to rank them quite well with typical SEO work. I also tend to focus everything I do on the US market for the most part so it works well for me

I got a site that is a .us that ranks very good in Google for a ton of keywords on google.com and all over the world.

So through my experience it doesn't matter one bit when it came to ranking.

Google is not the problem, but if you have returning visitors the chances are they will try yourdomain.com, then discovering this doesn't exist (or probably be another website). So you lose visitors.
